Position Summary:

As a Supervisor, Shipping, you will play a pivotal role in our hyper-growth, highly regulated 503A/503B environment. You will drive business impact by ensuring efficient and accurate shipping operations, leveraging AI technologies to enhance speed, scale, quality, and decision-making. Owning the entire shipping process, you will ensure that AI acts as a force multiplier to achieve operational excellence. We seek talent capable of strategic thinking, execution rigor, and learning agility to align with Empower's ambitious growth objectives. Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence

  • Process Optimization: Streamline shipping processes by implementing AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times. Focus on continuous improvement and innovation to meet business objectives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Leverage data analytics to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive strategic changes for optimal operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality control measures, utilizing AI to ensure precision and accuracy in shipping operations. Develop and enforce stringent quality standards to minimize errors and enhance customer satisfaction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine processes and ensure consistent adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Resource Allocation: Oversee the strategic allocation of resources, ensuring optimal staffing and equipment utilization. Use AI-driven insights to forecast demand and adjust resource levels accordingly. Drive effective coordination and communication across teams to meet shipping deadlines and exceed performance targets.

Team Leadership

  • Talent Development: Lead and develop a high-performing team by fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Utilize AI tools for personalized training and development plans, aligning individual goals with organizational objectives. Promote a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Performance Management: Establish clear performance metrics and use AI-enhanced analytics to monitor and evaluate team performance. Technology Integration

  • AI Implementation: Lead the integration of AI technologies within the shipping department to enhance operational capabilities. Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure alignment and support for technology initiatives.
  • Data Utilization: Utilize AI-driven data analytics to gain insights into shipping trends and performance. Develop strategies to leverage data for informed decision-making, predictive analysis, and risk management. Ensure data integrity and security, maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
  • Continuous Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation by staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Encourage the exploration of new AI applications and their potential impact on shipping operations. Lead initiatives to pilot and implement cutting-edge solutions that drive competitive advantage.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless shipping operations. Facilitate effective communication and information sharing, leveraging AI tools to enhance collaboration and alignment. Drive initiatives that promote synergy and a unified approach to achieving business objectives.
  • Customer Engagement: Enhance customer relationships by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. Use AI technologies to anticipate customer needs and tailor shipping solutions accordingly.   • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with shipping vendors and service providers, ensuring alignment with Empower's standards and objectives. Use AI-driven insights to evaluate vendor performance and negotiate favorable terms. Drive strategic partnerships that enhance shipping efficiency and reliability.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in AI technologies and their application in logistics and shipping processes.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping or logistics, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of implementing AI-driven solutions in shipping operations.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in a 503A/503B environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve strategic goals.
  • Ability to lift and move 50 pounds comfortably.
