Position Summary:

As the Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Empower, you will drive business impact through strategic financial leadership in a hyper-growth, highly regulated 503A/503B environment. You will take ownership of financial planning processes, leveraging AI as a force multiplier to enhance speed, scale, quality, and decision-making. Your role will align with Empower's ambitious growth trajectory by setting talent expectations of, emphasizing strategic thinking, execution rigor, and learning agility. You will spearhead initiatives to optimize financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver insights that facilitate informed decision-making. This position requires a forward-thinking leader capable of navigating complex regulatory landscapes while driving financial excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance

  • Business Analysis: Lead comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities, integrating AI-driven insights to enhance decision-making. Craft strategic recommendations that support Empower's objectives in a highly regulated environment, ensuring alignment with our growth strategy and regulatory compliance. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure initiatives are data-driven and scalable, fostering an agile financial planning process that enhances organizational performance.
  • Risk Management: Develop robust risk management frameworks leveraging AI technologies to anticipate potential challenges and mitigate risks. Create contingency plans that align with Empower's risk appetite, ensuring financial resilience in a complex regulatory landscape. Drive organization-wide awareness of financial risks and opportunities, fostering a culture of proactive risk management and strategic foresight.
  • AI Integration: Champion the integration of artificial intelligence in financial planning processes, enhancing forecasting accuracy and efficiency. Utilize AI to streamline workflows, ensuring rapid adaptation to market changes and regulatory demands. Drive innovation by embedding AI capabilities in financial models, thus improving scalability and the quality of insights generated for strategic decision-making.

Financial Operations

  • Process Optimization: Spearhead initiatives to enhance financial operations through process optimization and AI automation. Streamline procedures to reduce inefficiencies and improve accuracy, ensuring timely and reliable financial reporting. Implement best practices that align with Empower's regulatory obligations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Budget Oversight: Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with Empower's strategic goals and financial targets. Collaborate with business units to develop realistic budgets, leveraging AI analytics for precision and strategic alignment. Monitor budget adherence, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support cost-effective growth in a dynamic regulatory environment.
  • Performance Metrics: Design and implement performance metrics that leverage AI-derived data to track organizational financial health. Ensure metrics align with Empower's strategic goals, providing leadership with clear insights into business performance. Promote a data-driven culture, encouraging informed decision-making across all levels of the organization.

Leadership and Collaboration
