Position Summary

The New Product Introduction Project Management Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of pharmaceutical innovation at Empower Pharmacy. This position drives the successful planning and execution of new product launches, ensuring alignment between strategic objectives and operational excellence. By leading cross-functional collaborations and optimizing workflows, this role advances our mission of producing innovative medications that help people live healthier, happier lives while expanding access to quality, affordable medication.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads and coordinates cross-functional teams to execute pharmaceutical supply chain initiatives, ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulatory standards while delivering on-time, high-quality results.
  • Partners with Procurement, Production, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Research and Development to align systems, schedules, and resources for seamless new product introductions and product lifecycle management.
  • Develops and maintains detailed project plans using tools such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet, proactively identifying risks, managing timelines, and ensuring quality benchmarks are achieved.
  • Supports Sales and Operations Planning to synchronize demand planning, capacity forecasting, and material availability in alignment with project schedules.
  • Acts as a strategic resource for the Materials Management team, providing leadership in planning, forecasting, and supply chain reporting to maintain operational continuity during peak demand.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, foster collaboration, and influence stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of three of experience in pharmaceutical supply chain or project management within a cGMP-regulated environment, with working knowledge of Food and Drug Administration and Drug Enforcement Administration regulations.
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, business, or a life sciences discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP); Certified Supply Chain Professional; other relevant project or supply chain certifications preferred.
