Position Summary

The Salesforce Developer plays a key role in designing, building, and optimizing Empower’s Salesforce environment to support commercial operations, customer service, and growth initiatives. This role is responsible for implementing scalable solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and related applications through Apex, Lightning components, and API integrations. By enhancing platform functionality, automation, and user experience, the Salesforce Developer helps Empower deliver affordable, innovative medication to 300 million people living healthier, happier lives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements customized solutions within Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud to streamline pharmaceutical sales and service processes while developing automation and workflows that improve operational efficiency and enhance user experience.
  • Integrates Salesforce with internal and external business systems to ensure seamless data flow and real-time access to critical information, working with application programming interface development and middleware tools to optimize system performance.
  • Collaborates with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions while developing and maintaining technical documentation to support ongoing system enhancements.
  • Ensures data security, integrity, and compliance with industry regulations such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act by implementing best practices for access controls, data governance, and user role management.
  • Leverages artificial intelligence (AI)-powered analytics to enhance decision-making, automate workflows, and improve system efficiency by implementing AI-driven automation for predictive insights and personalized user experiences.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, metadata model, security, and automation frameworks, with experience integrating Salesforce with other business platforms and APIs.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, with hands-on experience in Apex, Lightning components, SOQL, and system integration within Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud.
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related technical field.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification strongly preferred; Salesforce Platform Developer II, Salesforce Administrator, or Salesforce Integration Architect certifications preferred.
