Position SummaryThe Employee Communications Manager at Empower Pharmacy plays a pivotal role in building and executing enterprise-wide communication strategies that connect, engage, and inform employees across all levels of the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this role supports all of HR’s Centers of Excellence while driving consistent and inspiring messaging that strengthens employee engagement, transparency, and cultural alignment. By combining strategic storytelling, operational excellence, and AI-enabled communication tools, the Manager, Employee Communications ensures that every employee is informed, included, and inspired to contribute to Empower’s mission during a time of hypergrowth and transformation.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develops and executes enterprise-wide internal communication strategies that strengthen employee engagement, transparency, and alignment with Empower’s culture and values.
- Partners with the CHRO, HR leaders, and business executives to deliver clear and inspiring employee communication that supports Empower’s hypergrowth strategy and people-first mission.
- Creates and manages multi-channel communications, including newsletters, intranet content, organizational announcements, town halls, and digital platforms, ensuring clarity, consistency, and inclusivity.
- Establishes and maintains scalable communication standards, templates, and processes that support all HR Centers of Excellence and enterprise-wide people initiatives.
- Leverages AI-enabled tools and communication analytics to tailor messaging, measure engagement, and continuously improve communication effectiveness.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with HR Business Partners, Employee Relations, HR Operations, and business leaders to ensure consistent messaging during organizational changes, policy updates, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Supports leadership communications by drafting talking points, creating presentation materials, and preparing content for all-employee meetings and HR-led events.
- Leads change communications for transformation initiatives, helping employees navigate growth and cultural evolution through thoughtful, people-first messaging.
- Serves as a trusted advisor to leaders by embedding storytelling and communications best practices into HR strategies and enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Champions Empower’s culture of innovation, inclusion, and accountability by designing communication strategies that bring Empower’s mission and values to life for employees.
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Other abilities required by this job include close vision.
Knowledge and Skills- Proven ability to design and deliver enterprise-wide communication strategies in fast paced, high-growth environments.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging, and people-first messages.
- Demonstrated success supporting leadership communications, change management, and employee engagement strategies.
- Experience using AI-enabled tools and digital communication platforms to enhance messaging and track effectiveness.

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in employee communications, internal communications, or corporate communications with a focus on HR or people-related functions.
- Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, or related field.
- Preferred certifications include Accredited Business Communicator (ABC); Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP); International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) certification.
