Position Summary

The Director of Employee Experience shapes Empower’s workplace culture, creating an inclusive, motivating environment that supports employees from onboarding through every stage of their journey. This role drives engagement, gathers feedback for continuous improvement, and leads recognition and performance initiatives, all to foster a thriving, mission-aligned workforce dedicated to expanding access to affordable, innovative healthcare.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Designs and implements a comprehensive employee experience strategy from Day One onboarding through the entire employee journey with key touchpoints, employee communication initiatives and programs to deliver the highest quality support to Empower Pharmacy employees.
  • Develops programs and initiatives that cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture; ensures employees are engaged, motivated, and aligned with the company's values and mission.
  • Develops and administers employee experience surveys; conducts focus groups; collects, analyzes, reports and action plans on employee feedback making data-driven decisions to improve the overall employee experience.
  • Leads continuous feedback, performance management, and talent review processes to unlock potential and drive elevated employee performance and career mobility.
  • Develops employee recognition programs and other initiatives to improve employee retention.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Proven success managing employee experience programs, including onboarding, culture integration, surveys, communication, and performance management, with experience in talent development or human resources.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention detail and a track record of collaborating with key stakeholders to design and deliver customized development programs in agency regulated or audit-driven organizations.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years in talent development or management or HR, including 5 years leading teams, with expertise in talent strategies, culture development, employee engagement, and/or performance management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology, business, organizational development, human resources, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI in daily work to drive efficiency, solve problems, and enhance decision-making—adept at integrating AI-powered solutions into all workflows.
