Position Summary

The Sales Development Executive at Empower Pharmacy plays a critical role in driving top-of-funnel growth by identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities in assigned territories. This field-based role is focused on cultivating direct relationships with prescribers and healthcare professionals, educating them on Empower’s innovative product offerings, and converting prospects into loyal customers. The ideal candidate is a goal-driven outside sales leader who thrives on autonomy, leverages field interactions to accelerate conversion, and takes pride in exceeding growth expectations within their market.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prospects and acquires new business by regularly meeting with healthcare professionals in the field to understand their needs, educate them on Empower’s offerings, and convert qualified leads into active prescribers.
  • Establishes and maintains a consistent cadence of in-person visits, drop-ins, scheduled meetings, and territory routing to build strong relationships and drive sales conversion in key markets.
  • Develops and executes a strategic territory plan that includes pipeline growth, targeted outreach, market expansion opportunities, and quarterly goal attainment.
  • Actively represents Empower at local and national medical conferences, networking events, and industry gatherings to generate leads, strengthen brand presence, and gain market insights.
  • Partners cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Marketing, and Account Management to ensure seamless onboarding, order fulfillment, and long-term satisfaction for new accounts.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical device industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, healthcare, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Required: Valid driver’s license; Preferred: Certified National Pharmaceutical Representative (CNPR), Certified Sales Professional (CSP), and Certified Medical Sales Professional (CMSP).
