Position Summary:

The Digital Project Manager – Implementation drives successful delivery of enterprise digital initiatives that accelerate operational performance, customer experience, and scalable business growth. This role owns implementation planning, cross-functional execution, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and adoption across complex technology programs.

Leveraging AI as a force multiplier, this position enhances delivery speed, decision quality, resource optimization, and implementation consistency through intelligent automation and data-driven insights. Operating within Empower's hyper-growth, highly regulated 503A/503B pharmacy environment, the role ensures projects meet compliance, quality, timeline, and business objectives while enabling continuous innovation.

Success requires strategic thinking, disciplined execution, exceptional learning agility, influential collaboration, and relentless accountability to deliver measurable outcomes across rapidly evolving business priorities and enterprise transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Implementation Leadership

  • Project Execution: Lead end-to-end implementation of digital initiatives by developing comprehensive project plans, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, managing schedules, budgets, dependencies, risks, and deliverables while ensuring successful deployment aligned with business objectives. Utilize AI-powered project management, forecasting, and reporting capabilities to improve delivery speed, implementation quality, decision-making, and execution consistency across multiple concurrent enterprise initiatives within a highly regulated operating environment.
  • Program Governance: Establish disciplined governance frameworks that provide project visibility, accountability, milestone tracking, issue resolution, executive reporting, and implementation controls across multiple workstreams. Leverage AI-enabled analytics to identify emerging risks, forecast delivery outcomes, recommend mitigation strategies, and support informed leadership decisions while maintaining compliance, transparency, and execution excellence throughout every implementation lifecycle.
  • Change Management: Drive organizational readiness by coordinating communication strategies, stakeholder engagement, training activities, adoption planning, and transition support that maximize successful implementation outcomes. Apply AI-driven insights to evaluate user adoption trends, identify change risks, personalize enablement strategies, and continuously improve implementation effectiveness while fostering alignment across business, technology, operations, and vendor partners.

Cross-Functional Delivery

  • Stakeholder Partnership: Build trusted relationships with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders to align priorities, resolve challenges, and deliver successful implementations that support enterprise objectives. Use AI-assisted collaboration, meeting intelligence, and decision support tools to improve communication quality, accelerate consensus, reduce implementation friction, and strengthen cross-functional execution across rapidly evolving initiatives.
  • Resource Coordination: Coordinate internal and external resources by balancing capacity, dependencies, priorities, and implementation schedules while ensuring projects remain aligned with organizational objectives and delivery commitments. Utilize AI-based resource planning, workload optimization, and predictive scheduling capabilities to improve allocation decisions, enhance productivity, minimize bottlenecks, and maximize delivery performance across simultaneous implementation efforts.
  • Vendor Management: Manage implementation partners and technology vendors by establishing expectations, monitoring performance, resolving issues, validating deliverables, and ensuring contractual commitments support business objectives. Leverage AI-generated performance insights, implementation metrics, and risk indicators to strengthen vendor accountability, improve decision-making, and maintain consistent delivery quality throughout complex enterprise technology implementations.

Operational Excellence

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate implementation risks through proactive planning, governance, escalation management, and contingency execution that protects business continuity and project success. Apply AI-powered predictive analytics to detect emerging issues, evaluate potential impacts, recommend mitigation strategies, and strengthen implementation resilience while supporting regulatory expectations and operational excellence.
  • Performance Measurement: Develop meaningful implementation metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting that evaluate project health, adoption, operational outcomes, and value realization across enterprise initiatives. Utilize AI-driven analytics to transform implementation data into actionable insights that improve decision-making, optimize delivery performance, and support continuous improvement across digital transformation programs.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate implementation methodologies, governance practices, workflows, documentation standards, and delivery models to improve operational efficiency and organizational scalability. Leverage AI-enabled process analysis, automation opportunities, and implementation intelligence to eliminate inefficiencies, standardize best practices, accelerate project execution, and strengthen enterprise implementation capabilities supporting sustained hyper-growth.

Strategic Enablement

  • Business Alignment: Translate strategic priorities into executable implementation plans that connect technology investments with measurable business outcomes, operational improvements, and customer value. Utilize AI-assisted scenario planning, impact analysis, and strategic forecasting to improve prioritization, strengthen execution decisions, and ensure implementation efforts consistently support Empower's long-term growth strategy.
  • Innovation Adoption: Champion emerging technologies, implementation best practices, and AI-enabled capabilities that improve project delivery, operational scalability, and organizational effectiveness. Evaluate innovative solutions through structured governance, business case development, and measurable implementation outcomes while balancing speed, quality, compliance, and enterprise readiness within a highly regulated environment.
  • Continuous Learning: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by staying current on implementation methodologies, digital technologies, AI capabilities, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices while sharing knowledge across teams. Demonstrate learning agility, execution rigor, strategic curiosity, and operational leadership that elevate implementation maturity and consistently deliver high-impact enterprise transformation outcomes.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, implementation governance, Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models, as well as risk management, stakeholder engagement, and enterprise change management supporting complex cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency with project portfolio management platforms, collaboration technologies, implementation reporting tools, AI-enabled productivity solutions, data visualization, dashboard development, and performance analytics supporting informed business decisions.
  • Advanced ability to influence stakeholders, facilitate executive communications, negotiate priorities, resolve complex implementation challenges, manage competing demands, and deliver measurable business outcomes within fast-paced environments.
  • Proven capability to leverage AI responsibly for planning, forecasting, documentation, reporting, workflow optimization, decision support, and continuous improvement while maintaining compliance, quality, governance, and organizational accountability.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline required; master's degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressive experience leading enterprise technology or digital implementation projects in complex, cross-functional organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects involving business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, budgets, timelines, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Experience utilizing Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies with strong implementation governance and execution discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Agile, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Proven experience leveraging AI-enabled productivity, analytics, and project management technologies to improve implementation quality, delivery performance, and decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills with a demonstrated ability to influence outcomes across all organizational levels.
