Position Summary

The Manager of Security plays a critical role in fostering a safe and secure environment, enabling our team to focus on delivering life-changing medications to those who need them most. This position leads security operations with precision and vigilance, directly supporting our mission to produce innovative medications that enhance health and expand access to affordable healthcare. Through strategic oversight, proactive leadership, and cross-functional collaboration, this role strengthens our commitment to excellence in safeguarding our people, assets, and processes. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Designs, develops, and leads the execution of robust security strategies tailored to the specific needs of a compounding pharmaceutical facility, ensuring the utmost protection of critical assets, personnel, and sensitive information.
  • Directs and empowers a high-performing security team, cultivating a culture of vigilance, accountability, and continuous development through advanced training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Leads comprehensive risk assessments and security audits, proactively identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing strategic corrective actions to mitigate threats and ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards.
  • Partners closely with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, compliance, and operations, to seamlessly integrate security protocols into daily processes, reinforcing organizational goals and operational integrity.
  • Builds and nurtures strong relationships with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and regulatory bodies, driving coordinated response plans and ensuring rapid, effective actions during security incidents or emergencies.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and manage complex situations under pressure.
  • Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, managing access control systems, leveraging AI-driven security solutions, using advanced surveillance technologies, and utilizing Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in security management, preferably within pharmaceutical, healthcare, or highly regulated environments, with 2 years of leadership expertise, risk management, and the implementation of security protocols.
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Preferred certifications for this role are Certified Protection Professional or Physical Security Professional.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI in daily work to drive efficiency, solve problems, and enhance decision-making—adept at integrating AI-powered solutions into all workflows.
