Position Summary

The Inventory Control Coordinator ensures accurate stock management and compliance, supporting Empower’s mission to provide quality, affordable medications. This role optimizes inventory systems and workflows to maintain seamless operations and improve lives.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains accurate inventory records, updates inventory management systems, and ensures timely reporting and stock level accuracy.
  • Conducts regular physical inventory audits to verify stock, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Manages inventory using First In, First Out or First Expired, First Out systems, notifying the supply chain team of trends affecting stock levels.
  • Creates purchase order or material transfer requisitions and follows departmental guidance to meet specific needs while ensuring compliance with inventory control regulations.
  • Handles and transfers chemicals for production, weighs materials for stock accuracy, and recommends process and storage improvements to optimize material flow.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Possesses technical expertise to work in a cleanroom compounding environment, handle drugs safely, and utilize basic computer skills for accurate inventory management.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience in inventory control in a pharmaceutical or regulated industry preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pharmacy Technician (or Trainee) required.
