The Product and Labeling Inspector ensures product quality and accuracy, supporting Empower’s mission to provide affordable, innovative medications for healthier lives.

• Visually inspects products for defects and labels them in compliance with master batch records and standard operating procedures, rejecting non-conforming units as required.
• Operates inspection and labeling equipment, performs calculations, and completes thorough documentation to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Transfers products from the cleanroom, prepares and organizes work areas, and supports manufacturing processes such as material preparation, label printing, and inventory accounting.
• Participates in training programs, coaches new hires on inspection and labeling processes, and adheres to hygienic practices and company policies.
• Assists with special projects and performs tasks to support production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives, including LEAN manufacturing practices like 6S, Gemba, and Kaizen.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

• Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively achieve safety, quality, and delivery goals while following detailed instructions.
• Knowledge of 21 Code of Federal Regulations parts 210/211 and United States Pharmacopeia <797>/<800> regulations, with basic experience in operating equipment and performing mathematical calculations.

• At least 1 year of product inspection or labeling experience preferred, with prior Current Good Manufacturing Practice or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
