Position SummaryThe Senior Manager, Facilities & Maintenance ensures operational reliability by leading a team responsible for maintaining pharmaceutical manufacturing infrastructure, utilities, and equipment. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, optimizing production efficiency, and maintaining strict compliance with regulatory requirements. Through strategic leadership and technical expertise, this position drives continuous improvement in facility operations while fostering a high-performance culture.
Duties and Responsibilities- Leads and motivates a team of technicians to provide 24/7 support for manufacturing operations, ensuring equipment reliability, and minimizing downtime.
- Develops and mentors team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement to enhance technical skills and professional growth.
- Oversees preventative maintenance, resource allocation, and project execution to optimize production efficiency within budget and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align maintenance efforts with business objectives and identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation.
- Manages hiring, training, performance evaluations, and documentation to ensure smooth operations while promoting a positive, collaborative work environment.
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Knowledge and Skills- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, equipment, water system and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, Air compressor, Boilers, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management Systems, including Change Controls, Corrective and Preventive Actions, and Deviations, with expertise in Building Automation Systems and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
- Proven ability to lead projects, solve problems under pressure, manage tasks efficiently, and communicate effectively, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Lean Six Sigma.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience with 3 years in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred; Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) strongly preferred; OSHA 30-Hour Certification preferred.
