Position Summary

The Senior Information Technology (IT) Project Manager , Project Management Office (PMO) is vital to delivering impactful projects that support Empower Pharmacy’s mission to expand access to quality, affordable medication. This role ensures IT initiatives are executed efficiently, aligning with business goals while fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversees multiple IT projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget while developing detailed plans for scope, timelines, resources, and risks.
  • Identifies , assesses, and mitigates project risks with contingency plans and monitors portfolio performance, key performance indicators, and outcomes to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to define objectives , communicates progress and risks to senior leadership, and builds strong relationships to align initiatives.
  • Implements and maintains project management methodologies and best practices while fostering continuous improvement and compliance with PMO standards.
  • Allocates and manages resources effectively, collaborates with project managers and teams, and promotes innovation and collaboration across the organization.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear . The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices . The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus . The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. 

Knowledge and Skills
  • Requires knowledge of project management frameworks (e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge, Six Sigma, Agile, Scrum), tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Atlassian, JIRA, Asana), and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have strong communication , leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with experience in healthcare or pharmacy preferred.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years in project management focused on sales and marketing projects, including 2 years in business systems, process mapping, and leading teams to deliver value.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT , Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field required ; a Master of Business Administration or relevant certification is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional, Program Management Professional, Certified Associate in Project Management , or Portfolio Management Professional certification is preferred.
