Position SummaryThe role of Supervisor, Aseptic Manufacturing, is pivotal to ensuring the success and quality of Empower’s aseptic filling operations. This position is integral to our mission of delivering safe and effective medications to our patients, as it directly impacts product integrity and compliance with industry standards. As a leader within the Aseptic Filling department, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring that processes are carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
You will be responsible for supervising and mentoring a team of technicians and operators, guiding them in real-time as they perform critical tasks within the filling suite. Your leadership will foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and adherence to aseptic techniques. Collaborating closely with the Quality Assurance team, you will ensure that all production activities meet stringent Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements, while also identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
In this role, you will also take charge of resource allocation, ensuring that labor, materials, and equipment are utilized effectively to meet production schedules. Duties and Responsibilities- Oversees daily operations of the Aseptic Filling department from within the filling suite assigned, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant processes from the floor.
- Supervises and mentors a team of technicians and operators, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement in real time – as the core activities are happening each day.
- Monitors aseptic filling processes to maintain product quality and consistency, identifying and addressing production issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime in real time.
- Collaborates with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with qualitystandards.
- Participates in audits, inspections, and reviews to maintain compliance with GMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Analyzes production data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
- Implements lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ensures staff are properly trained in aseptic techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Conducts ongoing training programs to keep the team updated on new technologies and best practices.
- Allocates resources, including labor and materials, to meet production schedules.
- Ensures equipment is maintained in proper working order, coordinating repairs or upgrades as needed.
- Conducts safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Maintains clear and effective communication with management, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders.
- Prepares and presents reports on production performance and quality metrics.
- Supports initiatives aimed at improving the aseptic filling process and implementing new technologies.

Knowledge and Skills- Strong understanding of GMP, FDA regulations, and other relevant compliance standards.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within aseptic manufacturing or sterile operations.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with quality management systems and participation in regulatory audits.
