Position SummaryThe Supervisor of Capital Projects Drafting plays a key role in the success of our pharmaceutical projects, ensuring accurate, compliant engineering drawings essential to developing state-of-the-art facilities. Leading a talented team and collaborating across departments, you’ll contribute directly to producing life-changing medications and expanding access to quality, affordable healthcare. Duties and Responsibilities- Leads and manages the Capital Projects Drafting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality, compliant engineering drawings are delivered on time and in alignment with project specifications, regulatory standards, and company templates.
- Develops and enforces drafting standards and best practices, ensuring that all team members adhere to corporate guidelines for document management, revision control, and drawing accuracy, while maintaining consistency across all project documentation.
- Collaborates closely with engineering, facilities, validation, and quality assurance teams to review project requirements, assess design feasibility, and ensure that all drafting deliverables meet operational, regulatory, and quality benchmarks.
- Monitors the lifecycle of engineering drawings, from initial design to final approval, ensuring proper version control, document storage, and compliance with internal and external audit requirements, while facilitating seamless integration with project management systems.
- Drives continuous improvement within the drafting department by identifying opportunities for process optimization, implementing new technologies or tools, and fostering a culture of efficiency, innovation, and collaboration across the capital projects team.

Knowledge and Skills- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor teams, foster cross-functional collaboration, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, comprehensive knowledge of engineering drawing standards, corporate templates, and document management systems, along with a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Automated Computer-Aided Design (AutoCAD) drafting and capital project support, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Requires an Associate’s degree in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a similar discipline is strongly preferred.
- Certified Drafter (CD), AutoCAD Certified Professional, Project Management Professional (PMP), Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Certification, Building Information Modeling (BIM) Certification, and National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Certification are strongly preferred.
