Position Summary

The Clinic Support Lead ensures accurate, compliant prescription management and delivers exceptional customer support while fostering team performance and process improvements. This role collaborates across departments to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, advancing Empower’s mission to provide accessible, innovative medications.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serves as the primary contact for clinic customers, managing prescription inquiries, post-sale transactions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicates with customers and internal teams to resolve inquiries, clarify orders, and maintain accurate records of interactions.
  • Coaches technicians, manages schedules, resolves conflicts, and provides performance feedback to support efficient operations.
  • Works with supervisors to deliver training, compile reports, and improve processes for better customer retention.
  • Ensures compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and supports various clinic operations as needed.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy law, medical terminology, medication, dosage measurements, and proficiency in mathematical and analytical skills are required to ensure accurate and compliant prescription processing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, aptitude for using various software, and sensitivity to handling confidential information are essential for managing electronic prescriptions and maintaining data accuracy.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Medical or pharmacy background or similar experience required.
  • Associates degree in a science-related field or a minimum of 2 years of previous pharmacy experience and customer service required.
  • Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician is required.
