Position SummaryThe Jira Administrator, Project Management Office (PMO) plays a vital role in ensuring seamless project execution, collaboration, and operational excellence at Empower Pharmacy. By managing and optimizing Atlassian tools, this role enhances project visibility and efficiency, supporting the company’s mission to provide high-quality, affordable medication. Through strategic system administration and innovation, the Jira Administrator directly contributes to a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in pharmaceutical care.
Duties and Responsibilities- Administers, configures, and maintains Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and related Atlassian tools to align with PMO objectives.
- Designs and optimizes advanced Jira workflows, automation rules, permission schemes, and reporting dashboards to enhance operational efficiency and project visibility.
- Develops integrations with third-party applications, including WorkOtter, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Slack, and Salesforce, to streamline cross-functional workflows.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements such as Good Automated Manufacturing Practice and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, while enforcing security protocols and access controls.
- Provides hands-on support, training, and technical documentation to enhance user proficiency, ensuring teams leverage Jira’s full potential for effective project management.
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Knowledge and Skills- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and drive continuous improvement.
- Expertise in Jira workflow automation, integrations via Representational State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interface (APIs), and scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, or JavaScript, with hands-on experience developing automation scripts and custom solutions to enhance Jira’s functionality, reduce manual effort, and improve data accuracy, along with familiarity with database querying, Sales Qualified Leads, and API management for seamless integrations with third-party tools across the organization.

- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience administering Jira and Atlassian tools in complex corporate environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- Jira Administrator Certification (ACP-100) strongly preferred; additional Atlassian certifications are a plus.
