Position Summary

The New Employee Onboarding Program Manager drives an engaging onboarding strategy, aligning new hires with company culture and expectations while equipping them for success. Collaborating with stakeholders, this role refines processes, leverages data for improvement, and ensures a seamless onboarding experience that accelerates productivity.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements a comprehensive onboarding strategy that engages and supports the new hire experience, aligning new hires with company culture, values, and performance expectations for success from Day One through their first year.
  • Designs and manages the corporate New Employee Orientation program and partners with business and functional units to ensure participants receive timely, relevant communication, technical onboarding training toward position readiness and productivity.
  • Designs and manages the corporate New Hire communications plan to provide intentional and periodic communication with new hires, ensuring they are receiving the equipment, systems, training, performance expectations, recognition and onboarding support needed within their first year of employment.
  • Manages stakeholder relationships across departments to ensure learning continuity with business units, reviewing and enhancing new hire onboarding program content for relevance, alignment and impact with organizational goals.
  • Provides data-driven program evaluation by analyzing program content to assess impact and effectiveness while identifying areas for continuous process improvement and program enhancements.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts, adapt to changing needs, and create engaging and inclusive onboarding experiences.
  • Expertise in onboarding strategies, training design and delivery, and process improvement, with proficiency in Learning Management Systems, project management tools, instructional design collaboration, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years in training, talent development, professional development and/or management development initiatives; experience managing people or projects, preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational development, industrial/organizational psychology or related field; master’s degree preferred.
