Position SummaryAs Vice President of IT Infrastructure and Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological backbone that drives Empower’s mission to produce innovative medications and expand access to affordable healthcare solutions. Duties and Responsibilities- Develops and executes an innovative IT strategy that aligns with organizational goals, ensuring scalable, future-ready technology solutions while driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPT) for operational excellence.
- Oversees the performance, reliability, and modernization of IT systems, including networks, cloud services, desktop environments, and data centers, ensuring business continuity, disaster recovery, and optimal performance to meet organizational demands.
- Implements robust cybersecurity frameworks to protect sensitive data, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards such as FDA, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other industry guidelines while establishing governance policies for responsible AI use.
- Leads high-quality IT service delivery by optimizing processes, maintaining accurate Configuration Management Databases (CMDB), and ensuring seamless operations with a focus on system uptime and customer satisfaction. Manage vendor relationships to achieve cost-effective and high-value service agreements.
- Builds and mentors a high-performing IT team, fostering collaboration across departments to align technology capabilities with business priorities. Stay at the forefront of emerging trends to inspire innovation and continually enhance operational capabilities.

- Advanced expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity, with proficiency in emerging technologies, regulatory compliance frameworks (FDA, HIPAA), and IT service management tools.

- A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and operations, including at least 10 years in senior leadership roles managing complex technology environments in highly regulated industries.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a technology-focused discipline is highly preferred.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Expert, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI in daily work to drive efficiency, solve problems, and enhance decision-making—adept at integrating AI-powered solutions into all workflows.
