What is your role at Empower? In your own words, what do you do?

At Empower Pharmacy, I’m a territory sales representative.

My role involves building relationships with healthcare providers and facilities in my area, helping them understand how Empower can support their practice with customized pharmaceutical solutions. I work on everything from onboarding new accounts to troubleshooting and ensuring my customers have the resources they need, whether that’s pricing, product information, or help with compliance documents.

Essentially, I’m here to make the process as smooth as possible for my customers and help them achieve their goals for patient care.

What was your career path like before joining the team, and what made you want to join Empower?

Before joining Empower, I worked as a logistics freight broker.

In that role, I managed tight deadlines, coordinated shipments, and built relationships with clients, which really sharpened my communication and problem-solving skills. While I enjoyed the fast pace of logistics, I wanted a role where I could make a more direct impact on people’s lives. Empower stood out to me because of its focus on improving patient care through innovative solutions.

The opportunity to combine my skills in relationship management with a mission-driven company was exactly what I was looking for.

What’s something about your job that most people wouldn’t expect?

Something people might not expect about my job is how much strategy and customization goes into it.

It’s not just about selling a product; it’s about understanding each provider’s unique practice, their patients’ needs, and finding the right solutions to fit both. I also spend a lot of time navigating regulations and documentation to ensure compliance, which can be pretty complex. It’s a mix of relationship-building, problem-solving, and attention to detail—way more than just a typical sales role!

What’s the most impactful thing you’ve learned in your time with Empower?

The most impactful thing I’ve learned at Empower is the importance of adaptability and truly listening to customers.

Every practice operates differently, and their needs can change quickly. By staying flexible and open to feedback, I’ve been able to build stronger partnerships and find creative solutions to challenges. It’s also been eye-opening to see how much of a difference our work can make in improving patient outcomes, which motivates me to keep pushing for excellence every day.

What is your favorite part about working at Empower Pharmacy?

My favorite part about working at Empower Pharmacy is the people—both my colleagues and my customers.

The team here is incredibly supportive and driven, which makes even the busiest days rewarding. I also love connecting with providers and seeing how our work directly impacts their ability to care for patients. Knowing I play a small part in helping practices grow and patients feel better is really fulfilling.

Plus, no two days are the same, which keeps it exciting!

What does patient care mean to you, and how do you contribute to that mission?

To me, patient care means ensuring that every individual has access to the best possible solutions for their health needs, delivered with compassion and attention to detail. At Empower, I contribute to that mission by supporting providers with the tools and resources they need to offer personalized care. Whether it’s helping streamline their processes, providing product education, or ensuring they have the right medications for their patients, my goal is to make their job easier so they can focus on what matters most—caring for their patients.

What is a proud moment or achievement you’ve had at Empower that has stayed with you?

One proud moment I had at Empower was when I connected with a provider who was using products from a small, local compounding pharmacy.

Initially, they hesitated to try Empower because our pricing was slightly higher. I took the time to explain how our product potency, API quality, and dedication to excellence set us apart, and I encouraged them to try our products to see the difference for themselves. They decided to give us a chance, and not only did they see the value, but they also became loyal customers who are still with me today. I’m proud of myself for building that relationship and demonstrating the real impact Empower can bring to their patients.

It’s moments like these that remind me why I do what I do!

What are you looking forward to in your future at Empower Pharmacy?

I’m looking forward to continuing to grow both professionally and personally at Empower.

There’s always something new to learn here, whether it’s about our products, the industry, or ways to better support my customers. I’m excited to deepen relationships with providers in my territory, help them achieve their goals, and contribute to Empower’s mission in bigger ways. I also look forward to tackling new challenges and finding even more impactful ways to make a difference for providers and their patients.
